Day 7

REST DAY!!!! We're still in Republic recovering from week 1. We've been in bed most of the day icing our legs, except for when we take a break to soak in the jacuzzi. Did some laundry and watched some of the Tour de France. Nothing too noteworthy. Just getting ready for another tough week ahead. Thank you for your prayers...we'll need them again this week!

  1. Hi Mark and Sarah! Erin Kappers has made a 3 ring binder and we are printing your blogs to put in it at the outdoor. What an amazing week! We are all cheering and praying for you!

  2. Thank God for a day of rest! I'm so glad you finally got to take a rest from your pedaling, walking, and hitchhiking. Enjoy the following verses - family favorites that your dad, Daniel, and I wear around our necks on tags that Daniel sent to us from Sheppard Air Force Base.

"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
    (Psalm 91:1-2)

"Heavenly Father, rebuild and strengthen Chew & Sarah's bodies as they rest a day each week and each evening. Fill them with your Wisdom and Peace. Show them Your Plan, and enable to them to walk (or ride) in it. We love You and praise your Holy Name, for You are worthy to be praised! In Jesus' Name. Amen"

  3. You've been on my mind so much today (Day 10) and I've prayed for your day. As I get ready to go to bed, I pray that you all have found a place to lay your heads for the evening and that God will bless you with wonderful rest and renewed strength.

"Lord, You have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting You are God." (Psalm 90:1-2)

Chew & Sarah, I love you and can't wait to hear from you soon. Love, Mom
